USLA Conference 2023: Historic Event in USA for Lusitano Lovers

The United States Lusitano Association (USLA) will be presenting its first 'Lusitano Conference' to be held between 6th and 8th February 2023 in Wellington, Florida. This premiere event dedicated to the Lusitano breed aims to reunite the equestrian community to learn, collaborate, networking and ultimately to celebrate the Lusitano horse! This first ever, historic event for Lusitano lovers in North America will bring together acclaimed instructors and experts from around the globe. Get to learn all about this one-of-a-kind event and make sure to save the date: this is a must-go for your 2023 equestrian calendar!

'LUSITANO CONFERENCE' – WHAT IS ON THE PROGRAM?

The main focus of the recently launched United States Lusitano Association is to promote the Lusitano horse, strengthen the Lusitano community and to educate about this breed, aiming to perpetuate the breed’s value and to contribute to its notoriety internationally.

The USLA Lusitano Conference shall be a premium and exclusive event, open to only 150 guests. With a duration of 3 days, key elements of the event will include:

February 6th: Master Class with Pedro Torres
February 7th: Symposium at the Palm Beach State College, followed by a gala dinner.
February 8th: Master Class with Kyra Kyrklund

The highlight will be the two days of Master Classes – USLA offered the opportunity to ride with Pedro Torres and Kyra Kyrklund to a limited number of riders. These Master Classes, that will take place at May Faire Oaks in Loxahatchee Florida, received huge interest received huge interest and are now fully booked with horse and riders. Auditing is still available for the Master Classes.

The Symposium will focus on the history of the Lusitano, breeding best practices, genetics, training, veterinary and an even an overview of the Adult Book. Invited speakers include:

WHAT IS USLA?

USLA is the corporation dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Pure Blood Lusitano horse in the United States and Canada. In August of 2020, USLA was exclusively granted the APSL (The Portuguese Breeder Association for the Lusitano Horse) Protocol for operating as a sister organization for the support of the Lusitano breed. In a close work with APSL to register and revise Lusitano horses in the United states, and to support breeders, owners, and enthusiasts of the Lusitano in the US and Canada.
